Work continues apace

I managed to torpedo our bike trip to Palmerston today by burning my front bicycle tyre on the exhaust of the van. Instead I ended up painting more of my artillery and having a walk to Moeraki with the girls. Here are some pictures of the progress so far. I am off to Dunedin today to take Josie to the airport. She is up to Auckland for a week to attend a computer programming camp at AUT. It will just be Tori,me and Nana for a week. Looks like I'll get a bit of painting done.

  1. Interesting. So you paint the figures while they're still attached to the mounting? When you finally snap the figures off the mounting, I imagine there's a wee bit of plastic protruding, like a little tab, from the spot where the figure was attached to the mounting. Do you sand that down and paint over it, or do you just paint over it and call it a boil or a tumor?

  2. My [painting is pretty ad hoc and definitely not what a real hobbyist would do. I guess over the years I have developed my own style of painting. If you look on the web you will find a bijillion of examples of better paining than I can ever hope to produce.
