I could guess that "Marg" comes from "marga," the Sanskrit word for "path" or "way," but I had no idea what "Sahaj" meant, so I looked "sahaj marg" up and discovered it's a form of raja yoga. Quite cool, and definitely different from Buddhist meditation both technically and in terms of its metaphysical dimension.Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615520315835962395.post-9882678171706858132010-10-10T20:43:31.113+13:002010-10-10T20:43:31.113+13:00It is called Sahaj Marg according to Mari. If it's another Buddhist form, it could be Vipassana (Insight Meditation), which is pretty popular in anglophone countries. If it's not a Buddhist style, but something derived from Hinduism, then I can't even guess, since there are so many traditions.

Good luck collecting all those Dr. Who videos.Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615520315835962395.post-36753857885782853842010-10-10T15:17:51.296+13:002010-10-10T15:17:51.296+13:00None of the above. I just go to bed to meditate - about 8 hours if I'm lucky.Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08635078074818099479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7615520315835962395.post-67131840123396335732010-10-10T15:07:16.383+13:002010-10-10T15:07:16.383+13:00That's 1km more of running, and 25 more situps...That's 1km more of running, and 25 more situps, than I did today. Congratulations.

What sort of meditation is Mari doing? Is she going to a Korean Zen (Seon) temple, or doing something more warm-fuzzily Western?Kevin Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01328790917314282058noreply@blogger.com
